The R.A. Butler Prize for essays in Politics and International Studies is a competition that can be entered by students in Year 12 or the Lower 6th. Candidates are invited to submit an essay on a topic to be chosen from a list of general questions announced in March each year, and to be submitted in August.The NCH London Essay Competition is open to students who are currently in their penultimate (second to last) year of secondary education, year 12, and who are interested in studying humanities or social sciences at university. This is a global competition, so we encourage entries from those studying anywhere in the world.The Graham Turnbull Memorial International Human Rights Essay Competition An annual competition named after Graham Turnbull, an English solicitor who did much to promote respect for human rights. Graham was killed in 1997, working as a human rights monitor on the United Nations Human Rights Mission in Rwanda.

The Prize is open to young individuals (i.e. those who are under 35 on 31 April 2019) who are individual members of the International League of Competition Law (LIDC) or residents of a country where there is an affiliated national group (such as the Competition Law Association in the UK).
